Admission Procedure

Out of total admissions at B. Pharm 80% admissions are done through Centralized Admission Procedure (CAP) which is conducted by State Govt. on the basis of MT-CET score. The MT-CET test is conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education, Mumbai. The centralized admissions are done by Directorate of Technical Education, Mumbai (www.dte.org.in). Remaining 20% admissions are done by the Management at the Institute level on the basis of MT-CET and H.S.C. results.

The details of number of B. Pharm seats allotted are as follows:

·  MT-CET through Govt. Centralized Admission (CAP): 80%

·  MT-CET/HSC result through Management : 20%

 

Every year entrance test MAH-MPH-CET is conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education, Mumbai  (www.dte.org.in). The centralized admissions are done by DTE, Aurangabad (www.dteau.org.in). Based on this test i.e. MAH-MPH-CET and GPAT score all the admissions are done by the State government.

The details of number of M.Pharm seats allotted are as follows:
All the admissions are done by the DTE, Mumbai on the basis of performance of the candidate in GPAT examination and DTE conducts entrance test MAH-MPH-CET. Generally admission procedure consists of following rounds :

·  Round-I is conducted for Non-Sponsored, Sponsored and candidates belonging to reservation category.

·  Round-II is conducted for vacant seats remained after Round-I

·  Round-III is conducted at institute level

Eligibility

A. For Maharashtra State Candidates :

·  Minimum 45% marks (40% marks for reserved category candidates) from Maharashtra State in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Mathematics at HSC (Std. XII) or equivalent examination AND

·  Appeared and obtained a non-zero score in MT-CET exam conducted by Govt. of Maharashtra

B. For Outside Maharashtra State candidates (OMS candidates)

·  Candidate should have passed either SSC (Std. X) or HSC (Std. XII) or both the examination from a college Outside Maharashtra State.

·   Candidate passing the HSC (Std. XII) or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics / Biology and should have secured minimum 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics / Biology added together.

C. Direct Second Year B. Pharm admission (Lateral Entry)

·   The candidates should have passed Diploma in Pharmacy (D. Pharm) with minimum 50% marks from a recognized institute.

A. For Admission to M. Pharm. through GPAT Qualified Candidates :

Candidate should be an Indian National and who possess Bachelors degree or equivalent in

Pharmacy from an AICTE approved institutions, with at least 50 % marks (at least 45% marks in case of SC/ST category & Physically Handicapped candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) AND Should have valid and qualified GPAT score.

B. For Admission to M. Pharm. through MAH-MPH-CET Candidates:

Candidate should be an Indian National and who possess Bachelors degree or equivalent in Pharmacy from an AICTE approved institutions, with at least 50 % marks (at least 45% marks in case of SC/ST category & Physically Handicapped candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) AND Should have Non zero Score in MAH-MPH-CET, if the candidate has neither appeared for GPAT nor having valid and qualified GPAT score.

C. For Sponsored seats:

The candidates who have minimum 2 years experience are only eligible for claiming sponsored seats. No reservation is available for SC / ST category for sponsored seats.

Constitutional Reservations

There are certain seats reserved for statutory backward classes and for the under-privileged or weaker sections of the society. Reservations are also there for physically handicapped and for spouse, sons, daughters of the active and ex-defense personnel. All norms regarding reservations are decided by the Govt. of Maharashtra and prescribed by the competent authority (dte.org.in).

Documents to be submitted

All applications should be accompanied by the attested copies of the following documents :

1.Certificate of passing of H.S.C. or Equivalent Examination with statement of marks

2.Certificate of passing of the qualifying examination and the statement of marks

3.Certificate of Indian nationality issued by a competent authority or by a revenue office not below the rank of Tahsildar

4.Schools/Institute Leaving Certificate, in original, of the last Institute attended

5.Certificate of date of birth if the date of birth is not mentioned in the school or institute leaving certificate

6.Father's/mother's domicile certificate if candidate has not appeared and passed S.S.C Examination and studies two preceding academic years from school located in Maharashtra

7.Domicile certificate in respect of father/mother of the candidate

 

If there is a gap between passing of his or her qualifying examination and year of admission, the candidate shall submit an affidavit on a stamped paper stating the factual position. 

 

Additional Documents Required For Candidates Belonging to Backward Classes                                                     

1.Caste Validity : Certificate to support his claim as backward class candidate in specified form and from specified authority

2.Non-creamy Layer Certificate: Certificate issued by the competent authority stating that the parents of candidate do not belong to creamy layer, as per relevant orders of the Government of Maharashtra. Without Non-creamy layer certificate the candidate will be treated in open category

Note:
Copies of the certificates attached to the application form should be attested by the Principal of the School/Institute or a Gazetted officer or special Executive Magistrate. Original certificates will have to be produced at the time of scrutiny of application prior to admission.

4.Indian Nationality Certificate

5.Domicile Certificate

6.Migration Certificate (for OMS)

7.Cast validity, Cast certificate, Non creamy layer certificate (for OBC candidates)

8.Mark sheet and Leaving certificate / Migration certificate of B.Pharm.

 

Examination Pattern

The institute conducts one sessional exam (20 marks) for Theory and Practical in a semester for the purpose of internal assessment. University exam in each semester would be of 80 marks. Each student will have to complete a project work in third year B. Pharm.

There are three subjects in first two semesters. Theory and practical exams are conducted at University level. A seminar also is conducted and grades are forwarded to the University. The second year is completely dedicated for research project submission of dissertation to the University will be a requirement for completion of the course.
